The return of White EJC2 – 20130921

At the end of December 2012, some 40 Black-headed Gulls Chroicocephalus ridibundus were fitted with a color ring in Leiden. It is nice to see that a handful have returned already, including White EJC2 which I saw today in Leiden for the first time this winter season.

Observations

I observed White EJC2 on 3 occasions last winter, the last time on March 19. I expect that it will stay here until March of 2014 before it leaves for an unknown breeding area.
