Here is what I went to Stockholm, Sweden for: to see adult Baltic Gulls Larus fuscus fuscus.
It’s a gorgeuous gull which can be photographed in a beautiful setting with lovely light and backdrops. If you have a chance to visit Stockholm (for gulls or otherwise), it can highly recommend it.
All images were taken around the Skeppsbron area, 7 – 10 August 2015.

Special thanks
I would like to thank local birdwatchers and gull enthousiasts Alan Dalton and Dirk van Gansberghe for making my trip a success by providing valuable information about the locations to visit. A special thanks to Alan for taking the time to meet up with me (Dirk: shame that you were away, we will meet up next time!) Please visit Alan’s excellent blog for more images of (Baltic) Gulls.
