This adult Scandinavian Herring Gull Larus argentatus argentatus spent the winter of 2014/2015 in the Netherlands where I observed it 3 times in the city of Leiden: once in December and twice in February.
It stood out from the local European Herring Gulls Larus argentatus argenteus by the yellow-tinged legs and the Thayeri-pattern on P9. Also note the large mirror on P10, the deep tongue on P10 and the lack of black on P5.
